TUCSFoST

TUCSFOST is a student body association that represents the undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department of Consumer and Food Sciences at the University of Pretoria. It is not only open to the Consumer and Food Sciences students, but to any student of the University of Pretoria who have a keen interest in Consumer Science (clothing, food, and hospitality), Culinary Science, Food Science, and Nutrition industries.

The main aim of TUCSFOST is to organize educational events, where students can interact with each other, their lecturers and members of their industry. Such events include:

  • Workshops and guest lectures
  • Industry technical tours
  • Functions for staff and students
  • Events suggested by members

TUCSFOST is led and served by an Executive Committee of students who are responsible for maintaining the interest of its members and the committee represents different years of study and degree programmes of the Department of Consumer and Food Sciences.
