Consumer and Food Science Masters degree student chosen to give live presentation at MasterCard Baobab Summit in Kigali, Rwanda

Anesu Magwere is a MasterCard scholar currently doing a Masters degree under the supervision of Dr Janet Taylor and Prof John Taylor. She recently won a contest to participate in the MasterCard Baobab summit to be held in Rwanda later this year. 

MasterCard Foundation holds an annual event they refer to as Baobab summit in Kigali, Rwanda. This summit brings together young leaders who are dedicated to give back and to transform Africa. The summit creates a space for a uniquely powerful dialogue about courage, creativity, and connection through thought provoking speakers and interactive workshops. Some of the participants are chosen from a pool of MasterCard Foundation scholars in Africa. In order to be chosen, the scholars enter 3 different contests. She entered the speak your mind contest.  The 6 winners of this category, of which she is one, are given a platform to make a live presentation during the summit.
