I completed my undergraduate and Honours degrees at the University of Pretoria from 2017-2020 during which I was the Vice-chairperson of TUCSFOST and recipient of the Amanda Minnaar Food Fanatics award. During my Honours year, my research focus was in Food Microbiology, specifically on the development of a probiotic yoghurt with anti-bacterial and anti-candidal properties. My research topic was “Determining the viability of two probiotic strains in yoghurt during storage using 16S Amplicon sequencing” under the supervision of Prof EM Buys.
