Charmaigne Sehoole holds a master’s degree in Consumer Science: Food Management. She has previously been employed as a research technician in the Sensory Analysis Unit of the Agricultural Research Council (ARC), where she gained experience working with various food products including meat. In 2015, she joined the University of South Africa (UNISA) to pursue a career in higher education where she acquired experience as a lecturer in the Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL) space, lecturing undergraduate Consumer Science modules. She is currently enrolled for a PhD degree in Consumer Science, her research focuses on characterizing the functional and sensory qualities of novel plant proteins and studying their feasibility as food ingredients.
