As MD of McCormick Property Development (MPD) and CEO of Exemplar REITail (Exemplar), Jason McCormick has almost 20 years of experience in the rural retail industry. Township- and rural retail is in his blood. 

Established in1983, MPD is a family owned and run development company that specialises in rural and township retail. Exemplar is a real estate investment trust established in 2018 that owns and manages 23 developments, all of which were developed by MPD.  Jason and his team played a significant role in protecting their malls from the looting and unrest that took place in South Africa in July 2021.
