Keep That Gold Shining (KTG), in collaboration with Community-based project module (code: JCP) of the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology of the University of Pretoria tutored learners of Grade 10 and 11 in mathematics, physics and accounting for the regional MAP competition. The MAP competition entails a pre-test, tutoring and a post-test. The Map competition took place at eMakhosini Combined Secondary School, Botse-Botse Secondary School and Soshanguve Secondary School in Soshanguve and Makgetsi Secondary School in Hammanskraal. Four KTG tutors facilitated the MAP competition at Makgetsi Secondary School and 48 JCP students in Soshanguve. Nearly 500 learners were involved in the 5-day MAP Competition. The first part of the competition was closed with the award ceremony at the Church of Mercy Ministries at Soshanguve Block AA. The competition will continue when the top 200 leaners of six different provinces will write a test in August. The final award ceremony will take place at the University of Pretoria.
