JCP-students assisted Pretoria Secondary School to have a functional computer centre

As part of the field work for the Community-based Project Module (JCP) two groups of students assisted at the computer lab of Pretoria Secondary School. The one group of students, consisting of Kevin du Pont, Stephan le Roux, Mathinus Reinecke, Samual Swart and Dyan Visser had to format some of the computers, install anti-virus programmes on all of the computers and repair the network cables. With the assistance of another group consisting of Adolfo Almeida, Tapfuma Chanaiwa, Wandile Mabuza, Dean Maponga and Nkosinathi Ngwenya, that repair the old computers from the University of Pretoria and delivered it to Pretoria Secondary School. The two groups managed to leave a functional computer lab for the school.

The students indicated that they felt privileged that they could make a difference in the community and could assist Pretoria Secondary School to have a functional computer lab for the Grade 12 examinations.
