Fees and Registration

Registration to the Fourth Annual Meeting of the Global Consortium for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, hosted by the University of Pretoria, is free of charge. 

How to sign-up, register and submit abstracts

Step 1

You need to first sign up on the conference page - top right of the home page. Once you are signed up, you can simply login to access conference information.

Step 2

Confirm you sign-up details by following the instructions on the email sent to the address you provided. The email will direct you to a confirmation web page where you will choose a password for your conference profile.

Step 3

Once you have chosen a password, you will be directed to a Login page. Please login in order to see conference registration, abstract submissions and general information.

Step 4

After these initial steps, you only have a profile on the conference page. You need to confirm that you are attending (this is your registration for the conference). Thus, in the yellow block, click on View Fees.

Step 5

This will direct you to the Fees and Registration page. Here, please click on Make Payment. THIS CONFERENCE IS FREE OF CHARGE. The step needs to be followed in order to confirm that you are attending the conference.

Step 6

A pop-up window will appear.

  • Select your participation type (note, it is delegate for everyone registering because the nature of you participation was selected during sign up).
  • Click next to the conference in the circle.
  • Click on Proceed

Step 7

Once the pop-up is finished loading, you will be directed to the My Order page. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, the Order Received status is pending, but will change once the system allows you.

Step 8

If you click on My Dashboard at the top of the page, you will now see that you have two green squares. These confirm that you are signed up and that you are a registered attendee.

For presenters:

Step 9

Presenters will have two green squares and a yellwo Abstracts square. Click on Upload an Abstract.

Step 10

Please provide the title of the abstract. Then select which theme it belongs to according to the theme of the day on which you present. You can select whether the abstract may be published on the web page. Please provide the correct details of the presenter and/or author. Add the abstract at the bottom of the page. Click on Submit.

Step 11

You will receive a confirmation email that you successfully uploaded your abstract. If you wish to modify, you can do so at thte bottom of the Abstracts web page*.

Step 12

Go to My Dashboard at the top of the page. Here you will see that in the Abstracts square there is a message that "Abstracts are awaiting review". Once it is reviewed and approved, this Abstracts square will als be green.

*If you wish to modify your abstract at a later time, click on View Abstracts in the yellow Abstracts square, scroll to the bottom of the page click on Modify abstract, and you will be able to make changes.
