The Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Pretoria (UP), Professor Tawana Kupe, cordially invites you to join him for UP’s fourth annual Women in Science Symposium, with special guest speaker Professor Lindiwe Majele Sibanda, Director and Chair of the African Research Universities Alliance – Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Food Systems (ARUA-SFS).
The theme for this event will follow the United Nations’ theme for the 2022 International Women’s Day – ‘Gender, Diversity and Inclusion: Water Unites Us’.
This hybrid symposium aims to recognise the role of women and girls in science, not only as beneficiaries but also as agents of change, in accelerating progress toward the achievement of SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).
