The African Genius Awards reward exceptional Africans working to advance Africa’s competitiveness, problem-solving skills, and self-love. The awards, run in partnership with Priority Performance Projects, are being held for a second year and will be hosted by 702’s Bongani Bingwa at the University of Pretoria’s Future Africa Institute.

This year’s speakers include Dr Sifiso Falala (Priority Performance Projects CEO), Dr Pulane Molokwane (Priority Performance Projects Director), Dr Neeraj Mistry (Future Africa Deputy Director) and Dr Rosaire Ifedi (Member of the AGA Adjudication Committee).

The awards will also feature musical performances from jazz saxophonist McCoy Mrubata and the OVUWA UP Youth Choir.

The awards will be broadcast online from the University of Pretoria’s official YouTube page. Tune in on 25 May at 6pm to be part of this historic event and celebrate African Genius!
