The University of Pretoria (UP) Alumni Office invites you to join the next instalment of our LeadUP: Alumni Thought Leadership virtual events, titled ‘Rethinking privatisation towards economic recovery’. This panel discussion will bring together a group of diverse experts that include alumni to reflect on privatisation towards economic recovery.

Professor Alex Antonites, Head: Department of Business Management at UP, will be in conversation with Mr André de Ruyter, Group Chief Executive: Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd; Mr Thomas Kgokolo, interim Chief Executive Officer at South African Airways (SAA), Dr Eric Levenstein, Director at Werksmans Attorneys; Ms Lebohang Liepollo Pheko, senior research fellow and political economist at the Trade Collective; and Dr Wesley Rosslyn-Smith, senior lecturer of Turnaround Management and Business Rescue at UP.
 
Prof Antonites will chat to the panellists about topics ranging from how privatisation can assist with South Africa’s economic recovery, to UP’s new cross-disciplinary master’s degree in insolvency and business rescue.
