The University of Pretoria (UP) Alumni Office invites you to join the next instalment in our LeadUP: Alumni Thought Leadership virtual events. The aim of this panel discussion is to bring together a group of diverse experts and alumni from across the globe to reflect on the fourth industrial revolution (4IR) and disruptions in the engineering field.

Professor Wynand Steyn, Head of Department of UP’s Civil Engineering Department, will be in conversation with Mr Nicol Verheem, Founder and CEO of Teradek in Los Angeles; Mr Justin Coetzee, Founder and CEO of GoMetro, Director at flx Mobility Ltd. and Non-Executive Director at Greater Tygerberg Partnership: Cape Town; and Dr Bridget Ssamula, Senior Director: Major Pursuits, AECOM in Los Angeles. The discussion is titled ‘4IR: Bracing for (and thriving in the midst of) disruption and innovation'.

In this exciting discussion, Prof Steyn will chat to the panellists about topics ranging from general business disruptors to groundbreaking innovations to how universities can play a role during these uncertain times.
