Research highlights

Within our broader research focus on understanding the relationship between the design of a cochlear implant and the perceived sound, a significant portion of our present work is aimed at the translation of computational models to clinical tools to complement and support person-centred care. Everyone is unique. Everyone's cochleae are unique. Every interface between cochlea and cochlear implant device is unique. To be of clinical value, our research investigates the factors that affect hearing performance and/or complications with a cochlear implant on an individual CI recipient basis. This also means that every computational model we create is unique.
