The men’s team had six new players and still managed to hold their own by reaching the semi-finals. The men finished 4^th overall losing to Cape Peninsula University of Technology in their play-off game.

The ladies, who entered the tournament the least favourites, played in an epic semi-final against Vaal University of Technology (VUT) the game could have gone either way and the spectators were treated to some amazing basketball. In the end the VUT ladies proved that they were the better team and advanced to the finals. The Tuks ladies finished a strong 3^rd place after holding off Wits University in their play-off game.
