Welcome to the University of Pretoria's Department of Radiology

The Department of Radiology is a teaching and training department that strives to provide dedicated and dependable radiological service of academic excellence to hospitals and to the community.   

The Department of Radiology at the University of Pretoria is based at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital and has Radiology Departments at Kalafong and 1 Military Hospitals as integral parts of the training circuit. Exposure to a broad spectrum of pathology is obtained, given the wide range of specialist services available at this hospital, as well as the location of Steve Biko Academic Hospital as a major tertiary referral centre.
