BSc(Agric) Animal Science

Undergraduate training takes place over four years (eight semesters) and is compiled to enable competitive training in scientific knowledge and technical skills in order to develop a career in almost any field in the livestock industry. A foundation of basic principles is provided in the first year, followed by more advanced courses in animal nutrition, animal physiology and animal breeding in the second year and third year. In the fourth year of study, all the principles are integrated in modules that focus primarily on the management of livestock and poultry.
