This event is a wonderful opportunity to gain valuable insight into what it’s like to study at one of South Africa’s premier universities. The University’s Interim Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Themba Mosia, will be present to share essential information about UP and its academic offerings. The various faculties will host sessions that showcase their future-oriented programmes and state-of-the-art facilities. You will also get a glimpse into campus life as a future UP student. #ChooseUP Day will be hosted across several of our campuses (Hatfield, Groenkloof, Prinshof and Onderstepoort). • Five winners of study bursaries for the 2025 academic year, each valued at R15 000, will be announced during the Vice-Chancellor’s Welcome Session.
• Students who attend a Faculty Dean’s Welcome Session will have the chance to win a study bursary to the value of R15 000 for the 2025 academic year. Each faculty will announce three bursary winners.
• Any student could win one of the random spot prizes to be given out during the events.
• Additionally, by correctly completing your UP student contract and handing it in (preferably before or on 17 August 2024), you could win one of four study bursaries for the 2025 academic year, valued at R15 000 each.
