The French Embassy and the Institut Français

The French section collaborates closely with the French Embassy and the French Institute on various levels to create opportunities for students.

The German Section

The German Section has a „Germanistische Institutspartnerschaft“ with the University of Namibia and the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen on the topic: Diversität und Gedächtnis. Transkulturalität zwischen Deutschland, Namibia und Südafrika.“ The project is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD.

The Portuguese Section

The Portuguese Section has a partnership with Camões Institute, Portuguese Embassy in South Africa, that provides a full-time lecturer. https://www.instituto-camoes.pt/en/. 

Hispanic Embassies and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation & Development (AECID)

The Spanish section collaborates closely with Hispanic Embassies and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID) on various levels to create opportunities for students.

Collaboration with the North-West University

Our Honours programmes in French and German are offered in collaboration with North-West University for which we make use of technology such as Skype, videoconferencing and learning portals. Students from both Universities remain on their own campuses while benefiting from the experience and expertise of lecturers from both institutions.
