Prof Isike elected as Vice President of the International Political Science Association

Prof C. Isike was re-elected to the Executive Council of the International Political Science Association (IPSA) during its 25th World Congress held in Brisbane, Australia (21 - 25 July 2018). Subsequently, he was elected as one of three Vice President for  2018 - 2020. In addition to this, Prof Isike was appointed as the President's Special Representative on Ethics and also as IPSA's Ombudsman for 2018 - 2020. 

IPSA is the parent body of all political scientists globally comprising of 57 collective (national and regional association) members and 3527 individual members. Together this forms a network of over 43000 political scientists worldwide. IPSA is an international NPO founded under the auspices of UNESCO in 1949. It has consultative status with the Economic Social Council of the UN (ECOSOC) and with UNESCO. It is a member of the International Social Science Council (ISSC) and of the Global Development Network (GDN).

On behalf of the department and university community at large, we would like to extend  heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Isike on this momentus accomplishment.
