Online registration – what to do next

To all new and conditionally accepted students, parents and guardians—welcome to the University of Pretoria!

We are a home to some of the country’s brightest minds, and you have taken one of the most important steps on the road to success.

When you graduate, you will be equipped to take your place in society, not only as members of the skilled workforce our country needs, but also as future leaders. 

We wish our returning students a warm welcome back to UP, and all the best as you continue your journey with us in 2019.  

The next step on your journey is to register for the 2019 academic year.

Please note that all registrations are fully online. 

  • Online registration is available from 9 January 2019.
  • For assistance with online registration, please visit the Hillcrest Campus from 10 to 31 January 2019. Gates will be open from 08:00 to 15:30.
  • Hillcrest Campus is a cashless venue, but you can pay by credit card, debit card, cheque card or at the bank at least five working days before you arrive for registration. Please bring along your proof of payment.
  • In case of difficulties, contact the online registration helpdesk on +27 (0) 12 420 5347, or email us at [email protected].
  • All first year students need to collect their student access card at Hillcrest Campus before or on 26 January 2019. 

  • Online registration is available from 3 January 2019.
  • For assistance with online registration, please visit the Hillcrest Campus from 10 to 31 January 2019. Gates will be open from 08:00 to 15:30.
  • Hillcrest Campus is a cashless venue, but you can pay by credit card, debit card, cheque card or at the bank at least five working days before you arrive. Please bring along your proof of payment.

  • International students need to comply with immigration requirements. For assistance and enquiries in this regard, please email [email protected].

  • Assisted online registration will be available at the Hillcrest Campus from 10 to 31 January 2019. Gates will be open from 08:00 to 15:30. 
  • Hillcrest Campus is a cashless venue, it may take up to seven working days for payments made outside of South Africa to reflect in UP's account. Please pay in advance and bring along your proof of payment.
  • All first year students need to collect their student access card at Hillcrest Campus before or on 26 January 2019.
