No man is above the law and no man is below it; nor do we ask any man's permission when we ask him to obey it. Obedience to the law is demanded as a right; not asked as a favour.

Consultation in Progress

I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality... I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word.

Welcome to the webpage of the

Student Disciplinary Advisory Panel

 "Aimed at Assisting Students Involved in Disciplinary Proceedings"

 Who are we

The SDAP aims to provide assistance when students are charged with misconduct.  Staffed by students from the Faculty of Law, the SDAP is able to explain the procedure followed from receipt of a charge sheet by a student, through the different stages of a disciplinary hearing.

We understand that this may be a daunting process, and although members may not represent a student in a hearing, or give legal advice as such, we can advise students on what to expect as from receipt of the notification of disciplinary proceedings against them. Students will therefore be advised procedurally.

Information and Guidance

Students requiring assistance may contact a SDAP member for a personal meeting during their consultation hours where we shall:

  • Explain the entire disciplinary process;
  • Answer any questions you might have about how the  procedure unfolds; and
  • Handle your case confidentially.
