House Projects : Internal and External

This portfolio caters mainly for residences, faculty and day houses as a unit Projects are hosted where these houses as earn marks that are taken into account when determining the culture participant of the year for the Prestige event hosted by the SRC.

The culture evenings, hosted by the many participants on campus, range from sophisticated wine tastings to Proudly South African evenings where all attendees enjoy traditional “pap” and “wors”.

The block bookings that participants have to register for all STUKU events and projects such as UPart and film festival are facilitated by this portfolio. Other duties include the evaluation of every participant’s own archive, which is updated continuously and re-opened annually.

External house projects host four main projects where the different participants compete against each other in categories for men’s, ladies’ and mixed houses. Every project is judged by a panel of pre-selected, competent adjudicators and creates the opportunity for all participants to showcase their drama, musical and artistic talents.

During each project, marks are awarded to the participants and the winners, which plays a vital role in determining the culture participant of the year.
