Kya Rosa
On 10 February 1908, the Pretoria Centre of the Transvaal University
College was established, with four professors, three lecturers, and 32
students. Its first "campus" was the Kya Rosa House in the city centre.
The University of Pretoria, into which the Transvaal Universiteits-
Kollege was incorporated, was founded as a full-fledged and
autonomous University on 10 October 1930. The original Kya Rosa was
demolished and rebuilt on the main campus of the University of Pretoria
in Hatfield, Pretoria.
