Faculty of Humanities

Welcome to the Faculty of Humanities

Welcome to the website of the Faculty of Humanities, one of the oldest and most respected Humanities faculties in South Africa. Established more than 100 years ago, the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Pretoria has a long tradition of and extensive experience in providing undergraduate and postgraduate courses in a wide range of disciplines in the languages, arts, and the social sciences.

Important information for First Year students

All first year students are required to write an AIM (Academic Information Management) proficiency test before amending their AIM registration. All the information for this proficiency test is provided in the attached 1-page information leaflet together with the dates and times for each faculty/programme. This proficiency test is used for the registration of the correct AIM module(s).  Bring your proof of registration, student number and your student card for the proficiency assessment.

Please note: All Humanities students are to book for a session on 8 February in the IT (AIM) Labs, Technical Services Building, Hatfield Campus.
