MA Visual Studies Student awarded two Prestigious Scholarships

Nkami Berniece Manyike, a Masters student in Visual Studies in the Department of Visual Arts, has been awarded two prestigious scholarships to complete her Masters studies in 2018. She received the DAAD/NFR scholarship which is a collaboration between two funding organisations. DAAD (German Academic Exchange Services) is the largest funding organisation in the world that supports the international exchange of students and scholars. She also holds the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation scholarship which was awarded to her by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities. The title of her dissertation is; The social self: Photographs of African Lutherans in the Thsupa Mabaka a Kereke and Der Missionsfreund, 1931- 1935.
