UP Archives photographic workshops and competition
This project was launched by the UP Archives in September 2002. This year the workshops will have a more hands-on approach. The aim is to offer UP students and staff the opportunity to improve their photographic skills through free photographic workshops presented by professional photographers. These photographs become part of the photographic collection of the University of Pretoria Archives and add a specifically student-centred dimension to this collection. As an added bonus, students can win wonderful prizes.
Four photographic workshops will be held throughout the year, each focusing on specific techniques.
Workshop dates for 2016
13 February : Introduction to photography
12 March: Introduction to composition and basic window light portraits
16 April: Using flash to do fill in light
7 May: Enviromental portraits and storytelling
(Venue: Humanities Building (GW) 4-9, Time: 09h00-12h00)
