USSA semi-finalists UFH travel to Pretoria to take on two-time champions UP-Tuks at the Tuks Stadium in round 6 of the Varsity Football tournament, kick-off is at 18:30.

This is the stage of the tournament where the log takes shape, with the top two teams having all but sealed qualification to the semi-finals the last two spots are spots are still open and six teams are in contention to take up the third and fourth position.

Throughout their participation in the tournament UP-Tuks have emphasised the old adage “It is not how you start that matters, it is the way you finish”. It is true that the Pretoria giants always start slowly and finish high as they have been in the semi-finals since the tournament started.

Head coach Tlisane Motaung has pleaded with his players not to panic and keep focus, “It is of paramount importance that we do not panic and that we keep our cool as we are fourth on the log and that is a semi-final spot but we do recognise that we have to win our remaining games and that is the only thing we will be thinking about for the next two weeks.”
