Gizelde Strauss claimed 2 Silver Medals at ISF World Schools Triathlon champs in Versailles, France

South Africa return from the weekend’s ISF World Schools Triathlon championships in Versailles, France with three medals.

SA claimed a Silver in the mixed team relay (15/16 years) with Angelique Moller, Jamie Riddle, Gizelda Strauss and Ben de la Porte. Gizelda had a fantastic race and won silver in girls (15/16 years) and Ben was also world class with a bronze in boys (15/16 years).

‘All the athletes raced exceptionally well in very competitive fields and made triathlon South Africa incredibly proud.’

Girls 15-16 Gizelda Strauss, second 42.30; Angelique Moller 10th 44.11
Girls 17-18 Madelaine le Roux fourth 1.06.19, Jayme-Sue Vermaas eighth 1.06.29, Mieke Koen 15th 1.09.53
Boys 15-16 Ben de la Porte third 37.06; Jamie Riddle seventh 37.25
Boys 17-18 Nathan le Roux 12th 59.45, Dylan Nortje 18th 1.01.55, Dylan Kruger 19th 1.02.18
