Food Services

Who are we?

The Food Services division currently caters and manage 13 dining halls at the University of Pretoria. Within these dining halls approximately 8 000 students are provided with meals on a daily and continuous basis. Our division provides them with breakfast, lunch, supper as well as luxury and fast food items at the Item Sales section in the dining hall.

Meal plans, as well as the tariffs associated with booking for these meals, are fixed for the duration of the year. This means that changes in prices for these booked meals will only take place at the start of the academic year.

The prices for item sales, such as your luxury and fast food items, will be revised twice a year. This means that price changes of certain items at your dining hall's Item Sales may occur at the beginning of the academic year as well as at the start of the asecond semester, annually.

Please Note!

  • Your student card will only be activated in the Dining Hall in your own residence
  • Meal fees on your student account are available for booked meals and fast food items purchased in the Dining Hall
  • Meals can be booked in advance by using the computerised booking system available in all residences
