#TuksRowing: Take part in the 1000m Indoor World Record Attempt

Posted on March 06, 2018

The World Rowing Indoor Sprints is a worldwide championship that is open to absolutely anyone. All you have to do is get on an ergo (rowing machine) and row 1000m as fast as you can and you will be ranked in your age group against people from all over the world. It's open to anyone and not just athletes. Invite friends and family and challenge them on the ergo. South Africa is attempting to break the record for most people entered from one country as we were a close second last year. There is food and drinks available at the venue and there will also be music and live screen viewings of the races going on. There are prizes to be won for each age group category.

You can register with Chris Mittendorf at 0764434758 or email [email protected] before Saturday by sending your name, age and club/institution. Final registration will open on Saturday at 8:00am. Times and ergos will be allocated and lightweight weigh-in will take place.

Come experience TuksRowing and bring your A-game!
