Professor Suvianna Hakaletho-Wainio from Finland will visit the child law experts in the Department of Private Law on Thursday, 27 February 2014 and will present a paper at 10:30 in Law Room 4-18 on the topic: "Challenges and developments in children's rights in Finland". Prof Hakaletho-Wainio is from the University of Eastern Finland and she is the first person to be appointed as a professor in child law in Finland.
Prof Johan van der Vyver, an Extraordinary Professor in Private Law will visit the University of Pretoria from 8 to 15 March 2014. He will present a public lecture on "Military intervention in Syria: The American, British and French alternatives - and the Russian option" as a guest of the Institute for International and Comparative Law in Africa in the SCR Chambers of the Conference Centre at the University of Pretoria on Wednesday, 12 March 2014, at 17:30.
