GIBS recognised as best among employers and first choice for students

Posted on October 19, 2016

The Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) once again achieved the top position in the 2016 Financial Mail 'Ranking the MBAs' annual survey. GIBS has been recognised as having the best reputation among employers and being the first choice of graduates.

The Financial Mail, which runs the annual rankings, is in the Times Media Group stable and an influential opinion leader in the business community. This weekly publication focuses on reaching the country's top business minds. This year, the market research necessary to rank the MBAs was undertaken in three categories, namely: employers with a history of employing MBAs or of encouraging staff to do MBAs, either company sponsored or at their own expense; MBA graduates representing all the business schools that take part in the ranking; and business schools whose MBA programmes are accredited by the Council on Higher Education. The 18 schools that took part in this year's rankings all had to provide detailed information about their MBA programmes and associated activities. The publication spoke to 300 employers nationally, of which 270 were from the private sector and 30 from the public sector.
