The Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) African Championships commenced in Durban on Wednesday, 22 June 2016. Thirty-one athletes and three coaches from TuksAthletics have been selected to participate in this prestigious event.

The athletes who have been selected are:

Akani Simbine, Henricho Bruintjies, Gift Leotlela, Clarence Munyai, Thapela Phora, Ruan de Vries, Lindsay Hanekom, LJ van Zyl, Cornel Fredericks, Eben Beukes, Miqale Cilliers, Heinrich Smit, Luvo Manyonga, Orazio Cremona, Russel Tucker, Philmar Janse van Rensburg, Chad Herman, Tobie Hotzhauzen, Gedriech Pretorius, Wayne Snyman, March Mundell, Emile Erasmus, Thando Roto, Carina Horn, Tebogo Mamatu, Heanelle Griesel, Claudia Heunis, Taylon Bieldt, Wenda Nel, Chene Coetzee and Cherise Jones.

The team coaches participating in the event are Hennie Kriel, Michael Seme and Jakes van Vuuren.

The Championships will take place from 22 to 26 June 2016.
