Cornel Fredericks – 400 m H – unfortunately had to withdraw at the last moment owing to injury

Henricho Bruintjies – 100 m – 3rd in heat 6 (10,07 s) – advanced to next round

LJ van Zyl – 400 m H – 6th in semi-final 2 (48,89 s) – DNP to final

Akani Simbine – 100 m – 3rd in semi-final 2 (10,02 s) – DNP to final

Henricho Bruintjies – 100 m – 6th in semi-final 1 (10,20 s) – DNP to final

Orazio Cremona – shotput – 27th in qualifying round (18,63 m) – DNP to final

Wenda Nel – 400 m H – 2nd in heat 3 (54,45 s)  – advanced to next round

Carina Horn – 100 m – 3rd in heat 4 (11,08 s) – advanced to next round

Wenda Nel – 400 m H – 2nd in heat 1 (54,63 s)  – advanced to final

Carina Horn – 100 m – (11,15 s) – DNP to final

Wenda was the first South African to qualify for a final in this year’s championships. She will participate in the 400 H final on Wednesday, 26 August 2015.
