The South African Tertiary Mathematics Olympiad (SATMO) took place on the 22^nd of August 2015. The Olympiad was written by a total of 47 undergraduate students who will each received a certificate.  The three top achievers from UP were Jan Wuzyk, Izak Haasbroek, and Avikar Maharaj. Jan Wuzyk,a first year BSc Applied Mathematics student, achieved a score of 9 out of 20. Izak Haasbroek  and Avikar Maharaj, both BSc Actuarial and Financial Mathematics third year students, achieved 8 out of 20 and 7 out of 20 respectively. The best score came from UCT with 13 out of 20.
