invited to experience a taste of student life at the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics.
The girls were entertained on a talk by Mr Harry Wiggins titled "Famous Female Mathematicians" and were given an exposition of career options by Dr Madelein Labuschagne, describing both the more standard options as well as exciting off-beat options. Afterwards they were given a taste of the campus and attended lectures to have a hands-on experience of academic life. The girls concluded the morning with a relaxed lunch. Thank you to Dr Quay van der Hoff and Mrs Ezanda Dreyer who coordinated the event on behalf of the Department.
