We had a lighting ceremony where our EC all had lit candles that they used to lit the candles of our first years. We did this to symbolise our slogan and motto LUX IN TENEBRIS which is Latin for "light within the darkness". We want our first years to shine their light. We want Luminous to be a safe space where our members feel free to express themselves. We want our positive environment to stay with our members so they can also spread the happiness to other students.
