The 14th Continental African Championships & Youth Olympic Qualifier for WAG & MAG took place from the 09th May 2018 – 12th May 2018, at the Swakopmund Dome in Namibia.
 
The Tuks gymnasts Lisa Conradie and Angela Maguire made us proud in Namibia. 
 

South Africa’s Lisa Conradie was the star RSA performer in this section. Lisa won the Youth Olympic Qualifier and then in a closely contested Individual All Round competition, Lisa began her quest for medals by winning Silver overall. 

In the apparatus finals, Lisa bagged 2 Gold Medals for Uneven Bars and Beam, Silver Medal for Floor and Bronze Medal for Vault.

In the Senior Women’s Artistic Gymnastics competition, approximately 20 gymnasts from across Africa took part. Like their junior counterparts, the Team SA senior girls won the Silver Medal in the Women’s Team Competition, scoring total of 141.000 behind Egypt who took 1st place.  An outstanding performance form Angela Maguire in the All Round Individual competition saw Angela winning Bronze Medal overall.
