#TuksFootball: SPARTAK ON THE VERGE OF ANOTHER SAB REGIONAL LEAGUE TITLE

Posted on May 12, 2017

Amatuk’s reserve side Spartak will head into Sunday’s encounter, 14 May 2017 against title rivals Blue Stars FC knowing that a win/draw would be enough to win the league. Kick-off for this match is set for 15:00 at the Caledonian Stadium.

Spartak is level on points with Blue Stars but are ahead on goal difference by a meager two goals, both teams head into the encounter from resounding wins against third-placed Sampdoria.

Spartak recorded a 3-2 win against Blue Stars in the first round fixture at the University Of Pretoria Sports Campus in a thrilling encounter that set off a 13 game winning streak for the TuksFootball lads.

The winner on Sunday will be crowned Tshwane SAB Regional League champions and will play against the winners of Stream B Tshwane South College to determine the overall champion.

The overall winner will head to the inter-regional play-offs to compete against the winners of the other 4 regions in Gauteng in a mini-league that comprises of 5 teams, the first and second placed teams get promoted to the ABC Motsepe League.

This is familiar territory for Spartak who have been to the inter-regional play-offs twice with no success in the 2009/2010 season and the 2014/2015 season. It promises to be an amazing encounter in Arcadia on Sunday to determine the winner of the Tshwane SAB Regional League stream A.
