In the 8th minute, Mosadi sent in a cross from the right and the diving defender miscued his clearance and nearly deflected the ball into his own net. With the rain coming down harder as the match progressed there was very little goal mouth action.

In the 22nd minute, Mnyamane beat the offside trap on the left flank but delayed playing the ball in for Nyondo and the defence was able to intercept the ball and clear the danger. Minutes later Losper going himself unmarked at the far post with the ball coming in from a corner kick. Coetsee was well positioned to block the ball but it fell back to Losper who blasted it past the keeper with his left foot to open the scoring.

Tuks kept pushing forward but could not find the equaliser and the visitors took the narrow one-goal lead into the half time break.

The hosts made their intentions clear from the onset going on the attack and Nyondo turning the defender in the 6-yard box but could not gather the ball for the shot and Ajax cleared the danger.

In the 57th minute, Norodien found himself unmarked on the left from a corner and his shot beat Coetsee but there was no one at the far post to finish.

In the 83rd minute, Morris latched onto a ball that slipped between the two center backs but his final shot went over Coetsee and over the crossbar.

Right at the death Jaure took a shot just outside the penalty arc but Jaakkola got down well to product a top save. The ball fell back into play but Nyathi's follow-up shot went high over the crossbar.
