The critical performance of the areas of the Department are as follows:
Ensuring the continued financial sustainability of the University;
Ensuring compliance to legislation/standards/codes and the requirements of bodies such as the Auditor-General and the Department of Higher Education and Training;
Ensuring proper accountability on the use of scarce resources, including of public funding, and on the safeguarding of the University’s assets; and
Providing financial information to optimise the use of UP resources and to enable the University to reach its strategic goals.
