Prof Lourie Terblanche from the Department of Social Work and Criminology was recognised for his contribution towards the development of Employee Assistance Programmes in South Africa at the recent Annual National Conference of EAPA-SA at Emperor's Palace. The 'EAPA-SA Special Recognition Award' was handed to Prof Terblanche by Mr Tshifhiwa Mamaila and Mr Tinyiko Chabalala (President of EAPA-SA) for the completion of a research project on 'The History of Employee Assistance Programmes in South Africa and the Employee Assistance Professionals Association of South Africa', which will soon be published.
