A handheld XRF spectroscopy workshop for applications in Art & Heritage Conservation
The workshop introduces participants from the arts and the sciences to the possibilities of X-ray fluorescence and associated techniques as scientific tools in the study and conservation of paintings, objects, manuscripts, metals etc.
International leaders in the field, together with the instrument manufacturers, will present lectures as well as practical demonstrations on real artefacts.
Delegates will gain a clear understanding of the possibilities, limitations, and guidelines for technical art analysis and how to set up an experimental design.
