Title of Research: Why parents refuse newborn hearing screening and default on follow-up rescreening: A South African perspective

Ms Scheepers matriculated from the Pretoria High School for Girls in 2002 and subsequently enrolled for a degree in Speech-Language Therapy and Audiology at the University of Pretoria’s Department of Communication Pathology. After graduating in 2007, she completed her community service year at the Rob Ferreira Hospital in Nelspruit, which was followed by a year at The Royal Surrey County Hospital in the UK. Since then she has been working as an audiologist in the private health sector in the Western Cape.
