TUKSNOVATION Business Technology Incubator invites applications for the position of:

CENTRE MANAGER

REPORTING TO: Board of Directors

PAY SCALE: Maximum CTC Salary: R850 000

LOCATION: Pretoria

 

Duration: 3 Year Contract, subject to successful completion of 6 (Six) months’ probation period and renewable based on satisfactory performance.

Main Purpose of the Job: The main purpose of this position is to provide effective leadership in fulfilling the mandate of Tuksnovation NPC and to meet its strategic goals and objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible to lead and managing entity under the direction of the Board.

Preferred Minimum Education and Experience: A relevant 3 year tertiary qualification Information Technology (IT) / Business Management / Finance or equivalent • A Master’s degree will be an added advantage • At least 5-7 years’ experience in a High – tech entrepreneurial environment • Successful track record in formulation business strategy and Corporate Governance • Broad understanding of the SMME environment in South Africa • People management acumen • Strong Financial management skills.

Key Performance Areas: Act as an Accounting Officer for Tuksnovation • Provide strategic leadership • Guide cohesive high performance team • Develop a funding model and fundraising for the sustainability of the incubator • Ensure that the institution is strategically well positioned in respect of public relations • Build local and International networks supportive of enterprise development • Ensure that relevant strategies impacting on Enterprise Development are fully implemented.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills: The candidate must have a proven senior management experience including working with Boards - experience in working with Government is an advantage and understanding of PFMA.

Critical Competencies and Skills: Negotiation and excellent communication skills (written and verbal) • High level of emotional intelligence • Strong business management skills • People and stakeholder management • Inspirational leadership skills • Team building skills  • Ability to network with stakeholders and obtain buy - in on crucial matters affecting Tuksnovation.

Additional Competencies: Analytical • Planning • Innovative • Change management • Presentation skills.

The appointee will be required to sign an employment contract and an annual perfomance agreement.
