Prof Tinyko Maluleke addressed 250 students at Groenkloof Campus

Prof Tinyiko Maluleke from the UP Ant-Discrimination Agenda highlighted some significant developments.

  • Black FTE students were 10.9 % in 1994, 44.7% in 2010 and 53.7% in 2016 in the University of Pretoria.

  • The majority of women students since 1996, were 55.1% in 2016.

  • The University has followed a Journey for change with 2012, Reabua in 2013, the Lekgotla Process in 2016.

English approved by Senate and Council as Language of Instruction in 2016 and the Implementation in 2018. There are Institutional, Faculty and Departmental Transformation Committees in 2017.

The University developed a 2015 Strategy, EE Policy, Enrolment, Res Placement, Transformation Plan for 2018. FLY@UP was developed to ensure success and WREn was developed for readiness and entrepreneurship flair.
