Dr Maximus Sefotho from the Department of Educational Psychology visited Buenos Aires in South America, where he was awarded a medal as ‘Recognition of his participation of the international network of Career Practitioners.

It was the second International Congress of Latin American network of Career Practitioners. The Congress was held at the ‘University of le la Marina Mercante’. It was mainly attended by South American countries but it also included delegates from South Africa and the USA.

Dr Sefotho presented a paper on ‘Visions of Career Guidance in South Africa: A Journey of Social Injustice’. Dr Maximus Sefotho feels that career guidance is important as it is the key to career opportunities. ‘It gives meaning to our existence’, he said.
