Workshop invitation: Innovation Rapid Prototyping

The SA RILab, in collaboration with the Department of Library Services' MakerSpace, cordially invites you to attend this Rapid Prototyping Workshop

Date: Wednesday, 4 May 2016

Time: 09:00

Venue: MakerSpace, Merensky 2 Library, Hatfield Campus

Presenter: Petronella Chirawu and Ozius Dewa who are the Program Manager and the Innovations Officer respectively at the University of Pretoria Southern Africa Resilience Innovation Lab.

Target audience: Undergraduate and postgraduate students

Learning outcomes of this workshop:

  1. Understand what is meant by rapid prototyping.

  2. Develop rapid prototyping skills to elicit user feedback before developing full designs.

  3. Understand the concept of 'failing early and failing cheaply'.

  4. Develop skills in brainstorming and presentation of ideas.

  5. Prototyping to spot solutions early.

  6. Allow innovation concepts to be experienced and evaluated.
