#Assupol TuksCricket Invites All Players for the New Season

Statistics never lie. During the 2016/2017 season, the Assupol TuksCricket team certainly made their presence felt every time they competed.

Definite highlights were winning the Momentum National Club Championships. It was the fourth tournament they managed to win. The team dominated the Northerns Cricket Union (NCU) leagues. They won the  Premier League, T20-Tournament and Time Cricket Tournament. Assupol TuksCricket also contested the Varsity Cricket Tournament final, losing to Northwest University.

Aiden Markram and Sune Luus were honoured at the Cricket South African Awards while at the CSA Breakfast Awards Ruan de Swardt, Lungi Ngidi and Heinrich Klaasen received awards.

Kruger van Wyk (Assupol TuksCricket head coach) and his team will never rest on their laurels. The plans to ensure that the 2017/2028 season is going to be even more exciting are already in place.

“We would like to encourage all cricket players who would like to play for Assupol TuksCricket to enrol for an exciting couple of months of cricket,” is Van Wyk’s open invitation.

The fees for senior cricketers entail R770 while for junior cricketers (under-9 to under-15) it is R1 650.

The senior players will start to train on 6 September at the Assupol Tuks Oval. The training times are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 15:45 to 18:00. The players will get to play matches every weekend.

The juniors will get started on 8 September also at the Assupol Tuks Oval. The under-9 and under-11 players will train on Fridays from 14:40 to 16:00 followed by the under-13 and under-15 players training from 16:00 to 17:30. The young players will also get the opportunity to improve their competitive skills over the weekends by playing matches.
