After beating CBCOB by 51 runs in the final of the NCU T20 Club Competition on Sunday 22 February, Assupol TuksCricket won the competition for the third year in a row.

CBCOB won the toss and elected to field first. Tuks scored 164/4 in their 20 overs and Murray Coetzee, 79 and Blake Schraader, 47 top scored for Tuks. Ryan Houbert was the leading wicket taker for CBCOB with figures of 4-0-29-2.

At the change of innings the Tuks bowlers took to their task to defend Tuks’ total and they managed to restrict the opponents to 113/6 in 20 overs. Sean Nowak (4-0-21-2) and Corbin Bosch (4-0-17-2) each took two wickets for Tuks. K Vardhan, top scored for CBCOB with 33.

This victory has secured Assupol TuksCricket their third trophy for the season after winning the USSA ‘A’ Week in December 2014 and the inaugural Varsity Cricket Competition earlier in February.
